Ocean Universal Cairns: Spearo Equipment and Dive Store

Ocean Universal in Westcourt has a big spearfishing range. That's no accident — the business started as Spearfishing Superstore, so that side of things has always been the core.

They've got rail spearguns, camo wetsuits, carbon and fibreglass fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and general spearo accessories. Gear is suited to tropical conditions — not imported cold-water stuff that wasn't made for FNQ.

The rebrand to Ocean Universal because the shop had already started stocking scuba and freediving gear over the years. But the spearo side wasn't scaled down. It's still central to what the full details of the business.

The team are local spearos and can help with what works on Great Barrier Reef spots.
